It gives me immense pleasure to convey my heartfelt greetings to the Sahityika Editorial Team on the occasion of the Teachers’ Special issue. As the only monthly multilingual literary magazine in the long and proud history of BE College, BESU, and IIEST Shibpur, Sahityika has carved out a unique space in our institutional heritage by connecting generations of alumni across the globe.

Teachers are not merely sources of knowledge; they are lifelong mentors who ignite curiosity, nurture values, and shape both the character and the aspirations of their students. They inspire not only through what they teach but also through the example they set in integrity, perseverance, and compassion. The fact that your contributors range from graduates of the 1950s to the most recent alumni is a powerful testament to the enduring love for our alma mater and to a shared heritage that transcends generations and geographical boundaries.
